02 · Read the market
See the market backdrop before you choose
Open the macro snapshot for a plain-language read on rates, inflation, volatility, jobs, and the broader market. Sector research shows which parts of the market look favorable for selling puts across the board's current days-to-expiration window and why others are sitting out.
- See the current market regime and the indicators behind it in one view.
- Open trend charts to put changes in rates, volatility, and the market in context.
- Review which sectors are in play or sitting out, with a reason for each call.
03 · Check the details
Understand one option before you act
Open any option to see the premium you may receive, the cash you would set aside, and the stock price where the trade starts losing money at expiration. Company information and important dates sit beside the option, so you can see what you are agreeing to buy.
- See the option's key numbers and the reasoning behind its WheelIQ score.
- Put the strike, break-even, support, and implied downside on one chart.
- Review company profile, fundamentals, technicals, catalysts, news, and option data.
04 · Compare contracts
Line up the trade-offs side by side
Select two to four options and Wheelta lines them up across the terms, return, risk, liquidity, and stock context that matter to a cash-secured put. Wheelta highlights the strongest value in each comparable row, so you can see where more income comes with a smaller cushion, greater assignment risk, or a harder fill.
- Start with essentials such as cash required, annualized yield, probability of profit, break-even cushion, and liquidity.
- Show only differences, open every metric, or rank by the measure that matters to you.
- Add a contract to your portfolio selection, download a CSV, or copy a link to share.
05 · Save your picks
Save your picks and come back anytime
Move selected options from the scanner into a portfolio in one click. Wheelta keeps the exact ticker, strike, expiration date, and priority, plus the budget and notes behind the portfolio. Saved views also remember how you searched.
- Keep separate lists for different accounts or ideas.
- Return to your preferred scanner setup without rebuilding it.
- Use daily snapshots to review or restore an earlier plan.
06 · Set a budget
Choose how much cash to set aside
One cash-secured put can require enough money to buy 100 shares. Enter the total cash you want to reserve and Wheelta shows which whole contracts fit, why each was included, and how much cash remains.
07 · Review the risk
Check the whole plan, not just each option
Several appealing options can still depend on the same company, industry, or market outcome. Wheelta puts every pick into one view so those shared risks are easier to notice before you place an order.
- See total cash required, possible premium, and the chance you may buy the shares.
- Notice when too much of the plan sits in one company or industry.
- Estimate how the whole portfolio may react if the market moves.

Questions
About the scanner
What is a cash-secured put?
It is an options strategy where you are paid a premium for agreeing to buy 100 shares at a set price before a set date. You keep enough cash available to buy those shares if the option is assigned.
Do I need to be an experienced options trader?
No. Wheelta starts with a ranked list and plain-language explanations, so a newer investor can follow the workflow one step at a time. Experienced investors can use detailed filters, Greeks, contract comparison, sizing controls, and portfolio analysis.
What can I filter and sort by?
Start with simple choices such as company, sector, expiration date, and premium. When you want more control, you can add filters for delta, annualized yield, open interest, company quality, WheelIQ, and more, then save the setup as a reusable view.
How current is the scanner?
The options board is rebuilt for each trading day and receives live updates during market hours. The application shows market status, feed health, and the latest update time.
What happens after I find an option?
Open it to see the possible income, cash required, break-even price, company information, and important dates. You can compare it with other options on the board, save the exact option to a portfolio, and check whether it fits your budget and your other picks.
