Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Wheelta collects, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can get it deleted. It covers both this website and the Wheelta application.

Account and sign-in information

When you create an account or sign in, we may receive information from you or from the sign-in provider you choose. This may include your name, email address, and an account identifier. We use this information to authenticate you, operate and support your account, associate saved work and subscriptions with your account, and send service-related communications.

A sign-in provider may process information under its own privacy policy. We do not seek access to unrelated content in your third-party accounts unless a feature requires it and we explain that access when you choose to use the feature.

Information used in the app

The application lets you build, analyze, and track portfolios. We process information you enter and information received from services you connect or authorize, which may include brokerages and other financial-data providers. Depending on the features and integrations you use, this may include account, portfolio, holdings, position, transaction, security, and preference information.

We use this information to provide the features you request, maintain your account and saved work, generate analyses, and improve and protect the service. The information available to us depends on the third-party service and the connection you authorize.

Payment information

Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. They may collect payment and billing information under their own privacy policies. We receive information needed to administer purchases and subscriptions, such as transaction and subscription status.

Website analytics

This website and the application use optional, consent-gated analytics to understand which pages and features are useful. Analytics are off unless you accept them, declining does not affect access to anything, and you can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Accepting also records a replay of your session. On this website the replay includes what you type, so anything you enter into the contact form is recorded as you type it; in the product it includes what is on your screen, your portfolios among it, but not what you type. If you would rather write to us without being recorded, decline analytics or email us directly. The detail, including what is collected and how long it is kept, is in our Cookie policy.

Messages you send us

If you contact us or subscribe to updates, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply and so we have a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to support.

Who else processes your information

We may share information with providers that help us operate the service, such as providers of authentication, payments, hosting, infrastructure, communications, analytics, customer support, security, and brokerage or financial-data integrations. These providers process information for the services they perform for us or as otherwise described in their own privacy terms.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the service or others, investigate misuse, enforce our agreements, or support a business transaction such as a merger, financing, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information or share it with data brokers.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain our records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention may vary based on the type of information and why we hold it. To request deletion of your account or personal information, use any deletion option available in the application or write to support@wheelta.com. We may retain information where permitted or required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to or restrict certain uses. These rights vary by location and may be subject to exceptions. To make a request, write to support@wheelta.com.

Children

Wheelta is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services and practices change. We will post the updated policy here, revise the date at the top, and provide any additional notice required by law.
